Getting Started With Unification and Osmosis

Learn how to navigate and trade FUND on Osmosis!

Overview

Osmosis is a Cosmos-SDK based interchain DEX, supporting hundreds of assets across a variety of different chains. With its wide range of assets, ease of use, and extremely low gas prices, there has been a rise in FUND liquidity on this platform, and this guide will go over the basics of its usage.

Getting Started

Firstly, you'll need a Web3 capable cosmos wallet such as Keplr Wallet or Leap. There are mobile versions of both apps mentioned available for iOS and Android clients, and they have built in support for Osmosis. If you are migrating from the Unification Web Wallet, you can import your same seed phrase into either of the wallets mentioned above when setting up, to continue using your same wallet.

After you have your wallet setup, head over to Osmosis and connect your wallet. Then, tap on the cog wheel at the top right (or top left if you're on mobile), and enable Unverified Assets.

Depositing

You need to deposit your FUND you'd like to trade into Osmosis first before being able to use the platform. To do so, head over to the Assets Page and tap Deposit. From here, you can search and select FUND.

If you have not already added the Unification chain to Keplr or Leap, you'll be prompted to do so when opening the deposit page for FUND.

Osmosis has a wide range of whitelisted assets than can be used for gas fees on the chain. at the time of writing, there are 128 in total, with the most common being Atom or Osmo. You can check out an updated list of acceptable gas fees here

There are a few public faucets available for use that will give you a bit of Osmo for gas fees starting out.

Withdrawing

Simliar to despositing, withdrawing from Osmosis is as simple as navigating to the Assets Page, tapping Withdraw, and searching and selecting FUND.

Swapping

The Swap Page for Osmosis can automatically route your swaps for your desired assets, meaning that, even though at the moment we only have FUND/USDC and FUND/OSMO pools, you can still swap any of the 100's of assets on Osmosis to FUND, or vice versa!

Its really as simple as that, and with Osmosis's incredibly low fees, trading FUND has never been easier!
